Natural Gas Transmission Interconnect Coordinator : Austin

Job Summary

WhiteWater Midstream is seeking an experienced and motivated coordinator to oversee the interconnection process of our natural gas transmission pipeline systems to gas processing facilities, and interstate and intrastate pipelines. Candidate will manage the negotiation and administration of the commercial contract negotiations of the interconnect agreements, along with scoping, construction progress tracking and commissioning support of the interconnecting stations.

The ideal candidate will have a fundamental technical and commercial background in transmission pipeline systems and commercial natural gas contracts.

Position Functions

  • Develop the process for negotiation, execution, and administration of interconnect agreements for WWM’s natural gas transmission pipeline systems.
  • Understand and resolve any conditions that challenge utilization of the interconnect such as gas quality or pressures.
  • Optimize interconnect location determinations for market access, pooling capability and scheduling reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, engineering, legal, and commercial teams, to ensure agreements align with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure that projects are delivered on time.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor project progress and identify and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Prepare regular project status reports and presentations for management.
  • Lead project meetings, site visits, and customer meetings, as required.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, field operations and commercial operations and interconnecting parties to effectively schedule commissioning work, first flow and maintenance.
  • Maintain organization of all operational documentation related to the Interconnect including but not limited to, Interconnect Agreements, Operational Balancing Agreements, engineering drawings, calibration records and “first flow” documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal groups including Accounting and Scheduling to ensure interconnect capacity, capability and in-service date is accurately setup in the appropriate systems.


Requirements

  • Fundamental understanding of transmission pipelines and metering & regulating stations including a working knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Project management skills and a high proficiency in MS office Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
