Corrosion Technician : Brookshire

This position is responsible for corrosion control and documentation for pipeline located in the Brookshire, TX area and associated compressor stations. This position will be report out of our Brookshire, TX office.

Position Functions

  • Maintain and monitor internal corrosion control and cathodic protection systems and document accordingly
  • Assess pipeline conditions, recognize and prevent potential human or environmental threats and mitigate risk of safety incidents
  • Test and measure efficient operations of the cathodic protection systems and recommend corrosion prevention measures on pipeline facilities
  • Troubleshoot areas of non-compliance, recommend corrective procedures and perform maintenance as needed including repairs and installations
  • Conduct atmospheric and under insulation corrosion inspections, evaluate condition on pipeline coatings, and monitor data from the internal corrosion control system
  • Review bids from 3rd parties to make repairs and oversee/inspect work performed
  • Document and maintain all records of system and facility evaluations, improvement recommendations and work performed
  • Manage and document the scheduled regulatory inspections, including, but not limited to, rectifiers, bonds, AC mitigation and annual surveys
  • Generate company standards, procedures and recordkeeping forms for WWM corrosion program
  • Comply with safety, environmental and corrosion control regulations and company requirements.
  • Attend safety trainings, maintain required certifications to perform job duties, set example of high safety standards and assist in regulatory inspections


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of related experience
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and meet company insurability requirements
  • Maintain compliance with WWM’s drug and alcohol program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, various operating systems and perform basic math skills
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays and respond to call outs and emergencies
  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints, PI&D's and other diagrams.
  • Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquid, and high/low pressure systems and follow Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines
  • Ability to work in changing climate conditions
  • Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English is required
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 75 lbs. and be able to work in tight spaces, climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, walkways, etc.

Pipeline Locator : Brookshire

This position is an integral part of our Operations team and is responsible for protecting public safety and the integrity of physical pipeline assets. This is a field-based position, primarily working independently to locate and mark utility lines and respond to one-call tickets. WhiteWater facilities include gas transmission pipeline with associated receipt and delivery meter stations in the Brookshire, TX area.

Position Functions

  • Prevent damage by locating, marking, flagging and reporting underground utilities such as electrical power lines, cables, gas and water lines, abandoned pipelines, telecom wires and sewer systems.
  • Maintain compliance records and appropriately document work performed including photographing each location upon completion.
  • Quickly interpret and respond to one-call tickets; and may review maps and other drawings as necessary
  • Coordinate maintenance of all facilities and equipment performed by third parties, including pipeline right-of-way, excavation coating and back filling pipelines, concrete work, painting, building erection, etc.
  • Oversee construction and maintenance by third parties including inspection of one-call tickets.
  • Perform governmental compliance activities, such as line patrol, road and railroad crossing inspections, and valve inspections.
  • Participate in the development of O&M Procedures and Site-Specific Procedures
  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, and Company tariff requirements and complete all applicable documentation and record keeping
  • Communicate status updates, issues and pipeline and maintenance activity to appropriate personnel and represent the Company when communicating with landowner/tenants, public officials/emergency officials and at local meetings. (One-Call, Pipeline Groups, Soil Conservation, etc.)
  • Occasional travel including nights and weekends, as needed
  • Other duties as required.

  • Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules

  • Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 75 lbs. and be able to work in tight spaces, climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, walkways, etc.
  • Depending upon the location and workload, travel will be required
  • Willing to live within approximately 50 miles of Brookshire, Texas.
  • Must be able to complete Operator Qualification for relevant tasks through Veriforce prior to performing responsibilities of this position.

Measurement Technician : Brookshire

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of east Matterhorn pipeline, measurement, gas quality, compressors and related field operations. The facilities include gas transmission pipeline with associated receipt and delivery meter stations in the Brookshire, TX area and may include the following: reciprocating compressor units, ultrasonic gas meters, gas chromatographs, H2S analyzers, O2 Analyzers, control valves, overpressure protection, SCADA communications and other associated pumps, valves, seals and other related equipment) and approximately 75 miles of pipeline.

Position Functions

  • Start, stop and operate engines to maintain designated operating parameters.
  • Ensure the cost effective and efficient performance of all engines and associated equipment.
  • Conduct pipeline pigging and install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipe, pipeline and appurtenances.
  • Coordinate maintenance of all facilities and equipment, including pipeline right-of-way, excavation coating and back filling pipelines, concrete work, painting, building erection, etc.
  • Operate, maintain and repair equipment (e.g., wheeled tractors, pick-up trucks, water pumps, air compressors, coolers).
  • Oversee construction and maintenance by third parties including inspection of one-call tickets.
  • Perform governmental compliance activities, such as line patrol, road and railroad crossing inspections, and valve inspections.
  • Assist with cash flow management, cost monitoring and control and assist with planning and forecasting of the districts Capital and O&M budgets
  • Participate in the development of O&M Procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes and work plans.
  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, and Company tariff requirements and complete all applicable documentation and record keeping
  • Perform all related gas measurement calibrations and maintenance for ultrasonic meters, EFM gas chromatograph, H2S analyzer, H2O Analyzer, O2 Analyzer and PLCs.
  • Communicate status updates, issues and pipeline and maintenance activity to appropriate personnel and represent the Company when communicating with landowner/tenants, public officials/emergency officials and at local meetings. (One-Call, Pipeline Groups, Soil Conservation, etc.)
  • Occasional travel including nights and weekends, as needed
  • Perform duties of relief pipeline controller, as needed
  • Other duties as required.

  • May be required to possess a commercial driver’s license, drive a company commercial vehicle and comply with all commercial vehicle regulations

  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints, PI&D's and other diagrams.

Automation Control Specialist : Brookshire | Austin

This position will provide operational support, troubleshooting, process optimization, programming and Human Machine Interface (HMI) support on natural gas pipelines, NGL pipelines and associated compressor stations. This position will be based out of the Brookshire/ Austin.

Position Functions

  • Maintain, install and troubleshoot issues with process control software including pipeline equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), remote terminal units (RTUs), and human machine interface (HMI) equipment.
  • Improve long-term PLC equipment reliability and support the implementation process of PLC automation technology strategies
  • Design and participate in the construction of control systems throughout the pipeline
  • Support the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all pipeline automation equipment
  • Supervise and inspect 3rd party contract labor used to construct or improve automation systems
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships with various providers such as automation technology service providers and PLC control system providers
  • Review bids, specifications and approval documentation for each project and manage the process from design though implementation
  • Comply with safety, reliability, and cost effectiveness of technology used to meet business requirements
  • Stay current with automation control best practices and interpreting industry regulations applicable to WhiteWater Midstream policies and standards, identify changes in codes and standards and propose new developments in automation
  • Correct system hazards, analyze malfunctioning systems and identify safe, cost-effective solutions to resolve inefficient operations


Qualifications

  • Technical Degree/Associates Degree in Instrumentation, Electronic Communications or Industrial Electronics, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of related experience in program development or troubleshooting all Allen Bradley PLC software platforms
  • Familiar with AB CompactLogic, AB ControlLogic and Fisher ROC RTU.
  • Must have communication experience with cellular, satellite, Modbus and SCADA.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and meet company insurability requirements
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair AC and DC electrical circuits
  • Maintain compliance with WWM’s drug and alcohol program
  • Expert level understanding and demonstrated ability to program and/or configure automation technology such as: sensors, PID loop control, data communications, and other electrical machines, preferred
  • Knowledge of Pipeline & Terminal business processes and equipment such as mainline motors and engines, pipeline flow measurement equipment, and tank level measurement equipment, preferred
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays and respond to call outs and emergencies
  • Ability to work in changing climate conditions and capable of working in tight spaces, climbing to and working from elevated platforms, ladders, walkways, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with a team and take direction from supervisors, fluency in English is required
